I am not entirely sure what Texas State calls this place, but I found this place while walking around campus one day. I absolutely love this place because it is very calm and colorful.

Most people don’t know about this place because it is hidden in the trees and is a bit away from the main campus. To enter to the place, there is a huge staircase that takes you from Old Main to the entrance.
Before our winter storm, this place was filled with tons of greenery and flowers. Sadly, on one of my recent visits to this mysterious place, the majority of plants did not make it through.

I actually found this place by accident, but it is one of my favorite places on campus so far. When I initially found this place, I automatically fell in love with it. I enjoy being outdoors and being able to do my school work here makes the whole experience better.
There is nothing better than doing school work outside, especially when there are hammocks!!

Taylor Garza and I go there often to just hang out and to study for our classes. When interviewing Garza about her favorite thing about this place she said, “I really like the murals. They really add to the place, and I don’t think this place would have the same vibe without them”.
She continues, “I love that they have hammocks here too. They are so much fun and I love hanging out here with my friends. I also really like this place because not many people know about this place, so I usually have the place all to myself”.

Other than the murals and the hammocks, there was a chalkboard along with seating made from rocks. I have yet to use this to study, but I plan on using it for a future study session!!

There are so many other things that I could write about (such as their take a book, leave a book library), but I don’t want to give too much away about this hidden place! I highly recommend exploring this place for yourself!
