About Me !
Hello! I am Jenna Ramon and I am beyond excited to share all these amazing places that Texas State University (TXST) has to offer! (click here to visit the TXST website) I am currently a freshman here at TXST majoring in advertising with a concentration in digital media. I spent most of my childhood in Houston, Texas! I have always had the desire of traveling, exploring, and finding cool places that not many people knew about; I am so exhilarated to tell you guys all about the places and events that our very own campus has! I believe that there is so many amazing things that are constantly going on all around you, and all you have to do is just seek them out. And that is what I am here to do for you!
The Audience + Purpose
As mentioned before, I am a freshman. When looking back, I can’t believe that my freshman year is almost over. That being said, I want to make the most out of my college experience; with this goal in mind, I aspire to learn absolutely everything that my campus has going on. BIG or small. Does not matter. The more you know, the better! I don’t want to keep everything I learn to myself, but share it with anyone and as many people as I can!! Because my topic contains information about the Texas State University campus, I feel that my audience is primarily made up of people who are associated with Texas State such as: professors, faculty, staff, current students, alumni, future students, and parents. Texas State affiliated people aside, my other attended audience are people who have interest in finding new things to do or places to go at Texas State University. My purpose in creating my blog is to create a “NO WAY! I didn’t know my campus had that! I want to check out that place now!!!” type of thought of feeling for anyone who attends, will attend, or is interested in Texas State University.
What to Expect!
I am excited to dive deep into learning how to make an interactive blog post. I personally love websites that have online quizzes, polls, or anything that I can give my opinion. I want my website to be similar to sites that I enjoy looking at and participating on. In doing so, I plan on incorporating quizzes, polls, fun facts, discussion posts, lots of pictures, and interviews so that my blog comes to life.
